They are useful and attractive ponies. A working mountain pony much like the Haflinger and the Avelignese. As with all mountain breeds, they are very tough and enduring, as well as being extremly surefooted.

History
The race is to decrease/go back to Belgian horses, which came in the time of the people migrations to north Italy (Bardi). They represent well medium sized, strong Ponys of harmonious Exterieur. Turned off, with strong legs and good shoulder and croup, it is a willing, persistent worker. Footstep surely and being sufficient SAM. Usually dark-brown ones with only few badges.
